Maven Fitness is a specialized fitness facility located in Kitchener Waterloo. We have a unique focus in mat and reformer Pilates. Our main objective is to optimize health & fitness by improving strength, endurance, flexibility, and balance. Each client will receive valuable information on how their body moves and functions. Maven Fitness provides both private and semi private Pilates programming specifically designed to meet the needs of each individual through mindful movement.
Whether you’re looking to begin your fitness journey, rehabilitate an injury, or improve athletic performance, Maven Fitness has a strong client focused approach to help you achieve your goals. We provide you with an authentic, comprehensive, one on one experience that will assist you in reaching your full potential. We use an integrative approach model based on body mechanics and proper alignment, to effectively challenge each client’s current strengths & abilities. We build on these areas resulting in an improvement from a safe yet effective workout.

about Kayla
Let me official introduce myself, I am Kayla and I am the founder of Maven Fitness!
Maven Fitness officially launched in 2020, and I am so excited to be sharing this journey with all of you!
My passion for health and fitness, learning about the human body and its functions lead me to obtaining my bachelor of science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo in 2014. After graduating, I began working at a local sports medicine clinic working alongside Sports Medicine Physicians, Physiotherapists, and Chiropractors in patient rehabilitation. This is where my love for improving ones quality of life was sparked. I wanted to be on the preventive side of rehab, and teach people ways in which they can reduce or prevent the risk of injury all together. This is when Pilates entered my life.
Fast forward six years, and I’ve successfully completed my training in the STOTT Pilates method. I am trained in essential, intermediate, advanced Matwork and Reformer Pilates with a specialized focus in client rehabilitation.
Pilates has transformed my life – it has not only made me stronger, given me a more resilient body, but also made me more mindful and self aware. Our bodies are amazing, and I cannot wait to show you, the true potential you have and help you accomplish things you never thought possible!
